Shaman King

                               Shaman King

I have to admit, I love this comic way too much liao...i love the main character and almost all the characters in the story. Each of them have real unique characters. Shaman King is the work of Japan writer Hiroyuki Takei, for more details of the story, visit my personal shaman king page, http://yoh11.tripod.com/theheartofshamanking. Shaman King stars seiyuu voices which undoubtly fits each character perfectly, especially Asakura Yoh, the main star. Ok, here's the catch. Shaman king is the story of shamans(one who links this world to the next) who fight for their place as the shaman king in the shaman fight. Yoh meets friends and foes alike, including his twin half, Hao, as he makes his journey to the throne of the shaman king. A story of humor, true friendship, and the power of an unwavering heart...

Kamikaze

                               Kamikaze

Quite a boyish boy comic. However, the story is nice and touching at the end. Kamikaze, which means heaven wind in english(chinese is shen fong), refers to the sword in the pic which the boy, the main character is holding. The story is basically about these people with extraordinary powers fighting each other. The bad forces trying to destroy the world wherelse the good forces are left with attempting to clean up the mess left behind. The main boy and girl characters fall in love with each other of course, except that the girl didnt know her idenity at first until the boy came into her life and explained everything to her. Though i am not really satisfied with the ending, overall, it is a really nice story. I have never seen the anime but for those who have, you're really lucky! I like the main character alot! He's really cool. Written by Satoshi shiki, the comic book ends at book 7.

Inuyasha

Inuyasha

Well, inuyasha is quite a long comic and anime seires. It is very interesting, written by Takahashi Rumiko. The story kicks off when Kagome, a real time school girl finds herself transported to another linked world and meets a half demon, Inuyasha who was pinned by a special arrow to a tree. The arrow cannot be removed except through the hand of the person who shot it. Kagome was revealed later to be that person's reincarnation and she pocesses a special gem in her body which was supposed to be guarded by her previous incarnation. When it is removed from her body and the whole full gem is broken into many many pieces, she is forced to retrieve back all the pieces together with inuyasha and other friends whom they meet along the way. Of course, in between, love blossoms between inuyasha and kagome...

Hunter X Hunter

                              Hunter X Hunter

Hunter X Hunter is full of enjoyment and excitement! I always find the story easy to read and smooth. It is about the story of four friends, each with their own tale to tell and their fates get twisted together, making them unable to depart each other. Starring Gon, Killua, Kurapika and LeiohLi. Gon is searching for his father and to do so, he becomes a hunter and slowly fights his way on. Killua, my favorite character, is a pretty relaxed person who comes from a mysterious and dark family. He is a trained killer who escapes from his family when he grew tired of killing people and meets Gon in the hunter test. They became best friends. Kurapika's eyes turn red whenever he sees a spider for his tale of past is pretty tragic. Leiohli aims to become a doctor but was affected badly by his friend's death whom he failed to save years ago. I have seen both comic and anime, both of which is fantastic work. Written by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Rurouni Kenshin

                                Rurouni Kenshin

Hm...also another boyish boy comic. However, there is humor and love along with friendship in the story. Aside from the many words in the comic which i find hard to read smoothly at times, Rurouni Kenshin is a cool story. For those who like samurai or swords fighting story, this is a good comic to try out. Written by Nobuhiro Watsuki, Rurouni Kenshin tells the story of one legendary swordsman who once fought for the government but disappears after the war and now simply becomes a common swordsman with a reverse blade that does not kill. Kenshin wanders around but settles down when he meets kaoru, a female swordswoman. Feelings develop as the story goes on where friends and foes turn up to meet face to face with this legendary samurai...

Gensomaden Saiyuki

              Gensomaden Saiyuki

This is indeed one of the coolest and most amazing anime and comic written by famous writer, Kazuya Minekura. Gensomaden features the strong and unwavering bond between four friends whose fates are woven around each other as they meet again as destined many many years after their death in heaven(they are gods). Each of them have a tragic past that are lost in their memory(before they died), and now reincarates and meet each other yet again with a mission to complete - there is a disturbance in the human world where humans and demons are supposed to live together in peace. However, someone is trying to revive a long time dead powerful demon and this disrupts world peace. They are sent to stop this revival and restore everything back to normal. However, as time goes by and they make their journey, each of their past slowly unties itself...

ALways believe in crossing the bridge when you come to it...
